I am always surprised by the number of new drivers who aren’t aware of the huge benefits of undertaking the Pass Plus course. So this blog will introduce Pass Plus

The Problem

Newly qualified drivers are much more vulnerable than they realize. Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident within their first two years of driving than any other time in their driving career, and there are some very sad statistics to support this. And its not just about age – newly qualified drivers are a higher than average risk whatever their age.

Most drivers become safer by driving more miles and by experiencing a wider variety of driving situations. However, it is not enough just to let new drivers learn by experience, the consequences of error on the road may be catastrophic.

The Solution

Pass Plus offers new drivers professional instruction helping them to gain quality experience safely, become a more skillful driver, develop a positive driving style which is both enjoyable and safe and reduce the risk of being involved in an accident.

What is Pass Plus?

Pass Plus is a training course designed to help new drivers to build up skills in important areas not covered by the standard driving test. It consists of six modules and will take at least six hours.

Statistically, new drivers are more at risk of being involved in a serious accident, mainly due to lack of experience. The Pass Plus course allows new drivers to experience different road conditions in a safe and controlled way.

What does it cover?

  • Driving in town.
  • Driving in all weathers.
  • Using rural roads.
  • Driving at night.
  • Using dual carriageways.
  • Using motorways.
Pass Plus consists of an average of 6 hours training and the emphasis is on developing your practical skills. The 6 hours do not have to be taken together, they can be broken up into 3 lessons of 2 hours for your convenience.
There is no test at the end! Instead you are assessed throughout the modules.
